Publish with Fontes
We are looking for work that returns to the sources and does something useful with them — for the academy, the seminary, or the local church.
What we are looking for
Fontes publishes academic monographs, critical translations and editions, textbooks and language resources, and practical resources for ministry. Strong proposals make a clear case for the contribution the book makes and name the readers it is written for.
We are especially interested in projects in Koine Greek linguistics, Second Temple and early Christian literature, patristic translation, homiletics, philosophical theology, and Christian formation — but a good book outside those areas will still get a serious reading.
The process

Send a proposal
A description of the project, its argument and contribution, the intended readership, an annotated table of contents, an estimated length and delivery date, and your CV. Sample chapters are welcome.

Editorial review
The editorial team reads for fit, contribution, and readiness. Monographs and translations are sent for peer review; ministry resources are reviewed for clarity and usefulness in a church setting.
- 03
Contract and development
On acceptance we agree on delivery dates, series placement, and format. You work with an editor who reads the manuscript closely rather than only copyediting it.
- 04
Production and release
Typesetting, cover design, print and digital editions, and metadata distribution. Fontes production timelines are measured in months, not years, and titles stay in print.
