Description
This volume contains an analysis of each narrative text in the Hebrew Bible. Each contributor first explains their methodology before presenting a macro-analysis of the narrative. The proposed macro-analysis is then supported by a range of linguistic, cultural, and historical features of the discourse. In addition to being exposed to a variety of discourse methodologies currently employed by Hebrew discourse analysists, readers will benefit from considering a proposal for the macrostructure of each narrative and how its parts fit into the whole.
This volume is the first sequel to Discourse Analysis of the New Testament Writings (Fontes, 2020). A second volume covering Hebrew prophetic and poetic literature is planned for the future.
